i love the entire experience of a true record store, whether you're in omaha, nebraska, or in chapel hill, north carolina or san diego, california...the minute you step into the store you're taken to a timeless place, the boundaries and possibilities honestly feel endless when you're walking around the store, smelling the old vinyl records, and seeing a cracked old copy of nirvana's "in-utero" cd in the used section (probably the copy my mom took back to the store when i brought it home and she saw the song title "rape me" on the back...oh man that made me so angry, only made me want to like it more!) anyways, all the senses are involved at a good record store, you just automatically feel cooler there, i think for a lot of kids and even adults its a kind of treehouse club or some sort of r
hello everyone. i'm writing to you right now from san diego as we're about a month away from the album release. the wheels are most definitely turning on 'can't love can't hurt'; the discs are being pressed as I type, the video is finished and sweet n' low is starting to sneak its way into a couple radio stations. it may seem like we've been off tour forever, but i promise we've been working real hard on getting everything ready for this record to come out. it's great to see the new headlining tour dates seeing as though we're all pretty anxious to get back out on tour and see all of you. i know there's a couple cities we're missing but hopefully we'll be coming close enough where everyone can make it out.
So I was completely unsuccessful at keeping a tour blog during the Dashboard tour, so I apologize for that right up front. That being said, this tour was by far one of the most fun tours we've ever done, if not THE most fun tour we've ever been on. Every single person on the tour was genuinely amazing, and that made it a really incredible experience every night... it also helped that all the bands were so encouraging of each other, and it was fun to kind of interweave everyone's sets by having each other join in on each other's songs.
Hello to everyone...
So we've been in the studio the past few days working on new songs for you all to hear... and we'll be continuing to do so over the next month or so (when we're not playing shows
