So I was completely unsuccessful at keeping a tour blog during the Dashboard tour, so I apologize for that right up front. That being said, this tour was by far one of the most fun tours we've ever done, if not THE most fun tour we've ever been on. Every single person on the tour was genuinely amazing, and that made it a really incredible experience every night... it also helped that all the bands were so encouraging of each other, and it was fun to kind of interweave everyone's sets by having each other join in on each other's songs. John Ralston came up and sang with us on one of our new songs called "I Still Ain't Over You," and Nick (his guitar player) played some sexy slide guitar on "Dust" to help us close the set out. Towards the end of the tour, we reworked a bit of a new song called "Sweet and Low" and Chris from Dashboard was kind enough to lend us some amazing harmonies... and then the most ridiculously amazing moments of the nights came during Dashboard's set when they would cover one of my favorite Weezer songs, "El Scorcho," and all the bands would be up on stage singing along... it made for some good moments! The last night of tour was an unbelievable night as well... a couple good friends were around to help everyone out... Fred from The Color Fred came out and played a song during Chris' set that was amazing (he has an album out now as well, which you all need to check out Smiling. Our friend Adam from Counting Crows also came out to sing a few songs with Dashboard... but one of my favorite musical moments ever came when Adam, Dan, Chris, John Ralston, John Vincent, and Johnny Lefler did an amazing version of the Crows' song "Rain King." Watching that was unbelievable, and it was great to see what everyone brought to the song. It was the perfect ending to a great tour and something we'll all remember for a long time.

Right now, we're home for a bit taking some much needed time off and enjoying being with our families for the holidays, but quite a few of our friends have been playing around here, so I've been fortunate enough to be around while they're playing, which is a rare thing haha. The day after we got home, Annuals & Manchester Orchestra played and were both great... good people as well Smiling Then our buddies in Cavil at Rest played a great show in Costa Mesa... one of the bands that opened, Castledoor, is probably the best new band I've seen in a LOOOOOONG time, so that was really cool to finally get to see them! Then last night, our old touring friends in The Receiving End of Sirens were in town and played an incredible show, so it was amazing seeing those guys again. So it's been a fun week or so home, not to mention getting stuffed on Thanksgiving Smiling We're going to be back in the studio next week tweaking a couple things on the record that we changed while we were out on this tour, and then hopefully it'll be all finished by the beginning of december! We're very excited about it and really enjoyed playing a lot of the new songs for y'all live.

Anyyyyways, I'm exhausted from eating too much turkey... hope you all are doing well and look forward to seeing ya soon!

Cheers,

Jared
