Not sure how this works, but I thought a quick note to the band couldn't hurt.
I recently found out that my brother only has a few weeks to live,...as a result I decided to create a song for him & my family, and I went in to a recording studio and recorded myself playing the harmonica over your song "Boston"...which is where my entire family is from. (I am the youngest of nine children and there are 29 grandchildren)
My brother is a war hero, Army Ranger / Sapper Sniper, who has served in Kosovo, Afghanistan & Iraq, and he's also an avid Red Sox fan, & lover of your music.
I've been playing the harmonica for well over 20 years,...but I've never put down a track as great as the one I recorded to your song just after learing the news of my brothers clock against cancer.
So, my question is,...how do I go about getting permission from your band or manager in order to post the recording I made on facebook for my brother?
I would love to share your song, with my harmonica mixed in, with my family and friends, so that we have something to hold on to in his passing, and as the Red Sox season begins,...but I would never want to share your song in this type of forum without your permission. (I would be happy to email a copy of the song to whom it may concern)
