The St. Louis date isn't on the tour schedule. But the band was absolutely amazing in St. Louis the other night and everyone should know.
I was in about the 8th row, great seats, great sound, great energy and the band just really feels together. Every song was tight, great harmonies and very on target without sounding over rehearsed. I thought "Dust" was a real standout Saturday though it's hard to pick just one song.
Saw them two years ago with Counting Crows, same venue, and was very impressed. They made me a fan that night with that performance. But this was really something much better. Only wish they had gotten a longer set. I'd be happy to drive a little and pay good money to see the band headline some smaller venues down the road.
Counting Crows is one of my favorite bands. And of course they are always good live. But without Augustana sitting in through so many songs the other night, it wouldn't have been nearly as good a show. The songs when Dan and Co. were absent, there was definitely something missing, which is very hard to say about one of my favorite bands. Adam was clearly energized by the band's presence in the set.
It's just really exciting to see a brilliant band. Very inspiring, makes you go home and pick up your guitar. Just nice to see people making good music on a cool fall evening.

One of my good friends was at this show, and said the same! She was there for Maroon 5...but I told her she could not miss Augustana opening...(and she was glad she didn't!)
Thanks for sharing...it is always nice to know there are other fans out there who really know the guys of Augustana have an amazing talent!
PS...I agree...I saw Augustana open for this tour 5 times, and their set was much too short!!!
