I don't suppose any griping I can do will change this, but here I go anyway:
Why do so many live shows have photography restrictions like "none at all" or "no camera's with removable lenses"? I don't know who is to blame for this indecency, but it must be stopped! Do "they" not know that we live in an age of communal media, and immersing ourselves in the creation and distribution of said media is at the very core of our social fabric? It is one of our generation's fundamental values. We want to know and be known, to tell the world what we enjoy and why it's so great, and at the very center of how we do that is digital media. What, exactly, IS the argument for photography restrictions at live shows? Are the artists faces copyrighted? And if so, shouldn't the copyright go to their parents... or God? I mean, they didn't make their own face... wait, ok... that's occasionally true... no, I guess really it'd be the surgeon... or the face designer. So they say, "you can take a picture... just don't use a good camera." Apparently they'd rather circulate crappy pictures of their cash cows than high quality ones. The times are a'changing, Ye Ole Recording Industry, time to catch up.
Anyway.... what the crap?
