I used to hate the song 'Either Way I'll Break Your Heart Someday' ...I think it was because I absolutely IDOLIZE Dan Layus and see him as this sweet, caring, artistic, enigma and when I first saw the title I was already turned off. I didn't see Dan as a heartbreaker kind of guy. I didn't want to give the lyrics a chance because I had such a beautiful vision of who Dan was in my head, and to be honest, I didn't want that vision to be wrong so I never let the lyrics sink in or give them a chance. i assumed from the title what the song was about.
Anyway, one day when I was high, I was listening to their CD and 'Either Way' came on and something just clicked. I never gave the song a chance. I listened to the lyrics and realized I was completely wrong about the song. From that day on, it became my favorite song by them. I know this probably makes no sense to most of you, and that's okay.
This is WAY too hard, I like every song on both of their CD's, but if I had to pick a favorite on Can't Love, Can't Hurt; I'd have to go with Twenty Years, Sweet & Low and I Still Ain't Over You. I saw them in Indy a few weeks ago and it was AWESOME!
Twenty Years is by far my favorite song not only on this album, but it is on my top 5 all time favorite songs! It captures just the right amount of emotion and the piano playing sounds AMAZING!

I have listened intensely to the album, I cannot pick a favorite! I know that as "songs go" Sweet N Low is
going to be a favorite because of the way it was so smoothly composed with the perfect bridge and so on,
but technically every song on this album is arranged and developed so unique for each song you write. Amazing on the instrumental arrangements on each song. I just sit there and shake my head while listening, "saying out loud, man these guys are amazing! Listen to the drums on this part of the song of Sweet N Low (what perfect timing to that drum roll right before the last chorus- simply amazing!) What's so cool is that you have a very original style. Where ever this music is coming from (looked at your lyrics and says most of you compose the songs together, it doesn't really matter) you are all on the same unique page! What an amazing gift you have and THANK YOU FOR GETTING IT OUT OF YOUR HEADS AND INTO THE INSTRUMENTS AND VOCALS AND sharing it with us, people who recognize and appreciate it and we will enjoy it for the many years ahead! (Now, this is true, "I HAVE NEVER LISTENED TO A WHOLE ALBUM WHERE EACH SONG WAS AS GOOD AS THE FAVORITE THAT I BOUGHT THE ALBUM FOR!"
